Mandatory Laboratory Testing
For Client Depositor
Laboratory testing is required/mandatory of each and every Client Depositor.
The required laboratory tests are performed to protect the eventual Recipient.
Client Depositors samples/vials
are segregated based on the out-come of the laboratory test results
to protect and minimize the transmission of an
infectious disease to the eventual Recipient.
For example: Client Depositors who test positive for Hepatitis are
cryostored separately from Client Depositors who test negative for
Hepatitis.
Mandatory Client Depositor laboratory testing includes the following:

Blood Group/Rh |
Syphilis Serology (RPR) Screen |
Chlamydia/Gonorrhea, PCR |

Additional Testing for Clients Storing Semen
Myco/Ureaplasma Culture |
B-Strep Culture |
For Directed/Designated Donor
Laboratory testing is mandatory of each and every Directed/Designated Donor.
The required laboratory tests are performed to protect the eventual recipient.
Initial laboratory testing includes the following:

Genetic screening tests:
The following test is mandatory and may be performed either on the Recipient or the Directed/Designated Donor:
Cystic Fibrosis Screening
The following tests are not mandatory, for further information, we recommend that you consult with a certified Genetic Counselor with regards to the following tests:

SMA ( Spinal Muscular Atrophy) |
Post-Quarantine laboratory testing
The following laboratory tests including a Physical will be performed prior to the release of specimen vial(s) and at the end of the Quarantine Period of six (6) consecutive months of storage:

NO TESTS ARE PERFORMED FOR CANCER MARKERS OR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
WARNING: Even if the tests described in the preceding paragraphs were found to be within normal limits, and even when properly administered, the tests have their own limitations and may not produce reliable results. Consequently, Physician/Medical Facility and the Recipient take the risk that certain Reproductive Cells & Tissue Specimen(s) will not be disease free even though the test results may
indicate otherwise.
